i have a pro 77 how do i replace the mounting gasket and where do i get it
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. You would have to uninstall your disposer for you to be able to replace its mounting gasket. You may check this link for the complete instruction on how to uninstall and reinstall your disposer: http://www.insinkerator.com/en-US/S.... The part number of the mounting gasket is MGK-00. Kindly use the deluxe mounting gasket included in this kit for your Pro 77 disposer. You may purchase this though any home improvement centers, plumbing supply houses or online stores. The button is not working
would water going inside the button assembly damage it? I guess that is the whole reason it is air powered, so that water would not be an issue. Are there any troubleshooting tips? Mine makes a swooshy sound when pressed.

You may try to remove the tube from the transmitter and the switchbox and blow through the tube to evacuate any water that may be sitting in the tube. While the tube is out, press the switch button a few times to remove the water from the bellows. If this doesn’t correct the issue, either there is a problem with the tube or bellows (split) and one or the other may need to be replaced. Impellers both broke off
Both of the impellers rusted and broke clear off. We do not know how old the unit is (just moved in to our place). What is the average life span of this unit?

can you put tea bags

The Power Cord Kit is easy to install and includes a three-foot UL Listed cord, strain relief clamp, wire connectors and installation instructions. Once installed, disposer plugs directly into a standard wall outlet. This genuine InSinkErator product meets Underwriter Laboratories Inc. why are the wire colors different from the directions?

We use different black wire combinations (black w/ white stripe, black w/ yellow stripe) as part of our visual factory. Overloads come to the line with the black wire on them and they can tell by the wire what unit it goes into by the wire color combo as a double check to the part number.
Per the Cord Kit instruction, one wire (the one with the ribs) will always connect to the white wire. Across all our disposer lines, there will always be a solid white wire and a black or black wire combination. Per the Cord Kit instructions the smooth Cord Kit wire will then connect to the black. On all our disposer this wire will be either solid black or a combination of black and another color; currently either Black/White or Black/Yellow, depending on model, but it will always contain black to indicate that it is the black wire as per the Cord Kit instructions.

new installation
My drain keeps clogging with very little use and with foods that are okay. It is connected properly and the P trap is empty. It clogs at the T (double sink) before it goes to the P trap. Any suggestions?

can I reuse the sink mount replacing an Insinkerator 1/2hp with an Insinkerator 5/8HP Evolution?

Reconfiguring my garbage disposal.
I have had several garbage disposal macine over ten years. I have loved them all. Now - I live in small town with s small garden. Now I separate my food waste into sgreen bin and fill up the black bin until it's ready to go back to the earth. Is there any way that we can skip step two and three (I hate these steps) go from flushing all my food wastes into a holding tank and in the spring and fall use it for compost my garden. Personally, it sound like an amazing idea but no body can answer my question for me.

Replacement sink baffle for all InSinkErator Evolution Series disposers. The Quiet Collar Sink Baffle helps reduce disposer noise, prevents food and water from splashing upward and is removable for easy cleaning. The antimicrobial feature of the baffle helps to inhibit growth of odor-causing bacteria. Not for use with Badger disposers.
is there a better baffle for compact p model?
I bought a replacement baffle and it fits perfectly but constantly have to push food through it and water build up is terrible. Anyone find a better baffle?

The Evolution Compact food waste disposer is perfect for small households and houses with restricted cabinet space.
We had unit installed by Home Depot, but they failed to place the S/N info on unit. How can we check warranty?
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. InSinkErator warranty is determined by a purchase receipt date, installation receipt date and/or the serial number. All receipts are subject to verification by InSinkErator or our authorized representative. If no receipt is available, the warranty is then solely based on the date of manufacture obtained from the serial number.
Kindly check your disposer’s casing again. The serial number is located on a silver sticker about the size of a Band-Aid and can be found on the side of the disposer very near the bottom edge. If you know where your reset button is located on the bottom of the disposer, the serial number sticker would be on the side of the unit closest to the reset button. If it is not visible from the front, with power off to the disposer, you may need to use a flashlight and a hand mirror, or again making sure power is off to the disposer, if you feel around the lower portion of the canister, you may be able to feel it. Your disposer has a perforated sticker, and the serial number is printed on the larger portion as well as the smaller portion. You should be able to lift up on one side (the smaller section following the perforation) and tear it along the perforated line. You can then read it and stick it on the front for easy access.
