Why is the refill backordered everywhere I look for it? I desperately need to order the refill.

how to turn on the disposal
Hi larchmont,
This is Belle from InSinkErator. The Evolution Excel requires a wall switch or a Sink Top Switch to turn it on/off. To operate the unit, remove the stopper from the sink opening and run a strong flow of cold water, turn on the disposer, then slowly insert food waste into the disposer, and position the stopper to allow water flow and minimize possible ejection of material while grinding. After grinding is complete, turn the disposer off and run the water for at least 15 seconds to flush the drain line.

Stainless steel flange option to match sink?
Is there a stainless or brushed nickel flange available to match my stainless sink? What is the part number and cost?

We do not have a brushed nickel but we do have a brushed stainless steel. The colored flanges are available from any local home improvement centers or plumbing supply houses. You may call them ahead for the availability.

Replacement SinkTop Switch push button. To change button color, pop the old decorative ring off the push button body, replace with the new push button, and push the sides of the new decorative ring until it locks with the push button body.
Can this be mounted on a vertical surface such as the back splash
There is not enough room to install this on the surface of the sink

This is Belle from InSinkErator. We do not recommend installing the Sink Top Switch Button on a vertical surface as it may cause the tube to get kinked, restricting air flow that may cause issues operating the Sink Top Switch.

A convenient alternative to a wall switch, the stylish SinkTop Switch from InSinkErator is air-activated and easily mounts to the sink or counter top. It is also ideal for island installations. The SinkTop Switch is for use with all disposers (must have AC power below sink.)
Dimensions of power module
What is the width of the power module? I'm trying to determine whether there is enough space to plug it in, as the dishwasher occupies an AC outlet to the right of the dishwasher outlet.

The InSinkErator Mounting Gasket Kit includes two replacement sink gaskets to be used in conjunction with specific InSinkErator disposer models. Refer to the included installation instructions for quick and easy gasket replacement. Not for use with Evolution Series and E606 disposers.
