I currently have a Badger 1 which is 10 years old and the plastic housing has acquired 2-3 cracks in it and is now leaking.
Can I hook up the 5XP to the existing Badger 1 mounting bracket?

The Evolution Essential food waste disposer is the ideal choice for a wide range of kitchens.
How do I get rid of a horrible rubber smell coming from the disposal and the rubber hose attached?

This is Belle from InSinkErator Customer Service. Here is our recommendation how to clean a disposer:
1. Make sure the disposer is off.
2. With a soapy scouring pad, clean the underside of the mounting gasket/splash baffle and the inside upper lip of the grind chamber. Remove the quiet collar baffle, remove it and clean with a soapy scouring pad or in the dishwasher then replace it.
3. Place the stopper in the sink opening and fill the sink halfway with warm water.
4. Mix 1/4 cup of baking soda with the water.
5. Turn the disposer on and then remove the stopper from the sink hole opening. This will flood the grind chamber to wash away loose particles.
It is normal if the disposer vibrates a bit during the cleaning process.
Other tips for keeping your disposer clean:
Natural Disposer Cleaners
Other options to eliminate odor include grinding bones/fruit pits or citrus peels. The disposer is designed to grind bones which create a scouring action that scrape off leftover particles that may cause odor. We recommend that bones or fruit pits be ground periodically.
Disposer Cleaners
Disposers may also be cleaned with specific garbage disposer cleaners. We recommend Disposer Care® (made by Summit Brands, Inc.). It's sold on InSinkErator's website as well as major home, hardware, and grocery stores. For more info: www.summitbrands.com.

The Evolution Compact food waste disposer is perfect for small households and houses with restricted cabinet space.
How do I unjam Evolution Compact?
Hi Emmet,
This is Belle from InSinkErator Customer Service. To unjam your disposer, you need to use the Self Service Wrenchette that came with your disposer. Or, if you do not have the wrenchette, you may use a 1/4 inch allen wrench.
Please follow the steps below to unjam your disposer:
1. Make sure your disposer is turned off and insert the wrenchette into the center hole on the bottom of the disposer.
2. Turn the wrench in both direction. If the wrenchette won't turn, try to work it back and forth until you can turn it one full revolution (you may use force if necessary -- you know it's too much force if the entire disposer starts to turn). It's okay if you are not able to turn the wrenchette at all.
3. Remove the wrenchette and then push back the baffle or remove the quiet collar to reach into the top of the disposer with a tool to remove the object causing the jam. Pay special attention to the edge of the ring to find the jam.
4. Allow the motor to cool for 5 minutes then push the red reset button on the bottom of the disposer.
5. Turn the faucet on and run water for 15-20 seconds then turn disposer on to see if it's working.
If the above troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, disposer may need service.

Very slow dispensing hot water
I have a new H-wave and the water comes out very slowly it also drips a little while it heats up.
