The InSinkErator Mounting Gasket Kit includes two replacement sink gaskets to be used in conjunction with specific InSinkErator disposer models. Refer to the included installation instructions for quick and easy gasket replacement. Not for use with Evolution Series and E606 disposers.

Does this fit the InSinkErator model 777SS-1

Hi SCsan,

This is Belle with InSinkErator Customer Service. The Mounting Gasket Kit comes with two mounting gaskets, deluxe and standard. The deluxe mounting gasket (does not have a line on each of the flaps) fits the 777SS-1.

The new InSinkErator Invite Contour Instant Hot Water Dispenser faucet in Chrome with twist activation handle includes a 2/3 gallon stainless steel tank that delivers up to 60 cups per hour of near-boiling water. It has a stylish, sleek chrome and black design that offers tool-free tank connections and dry-start protection for installation convenience. Instant hot water dispensers sit right on the edge of your kitchen sink, the perfect complement to your faucet.

Fit

I have a "classic" model which is about 20 years old. Will the current contour or classic model fit the hole in my countertop?
Hi,

This is Belle from InSinkErator Customer Service. The Invite Contour and Invite Classic model require 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" standard sink hole diameter. May I know the exact model of your 20 year old hot water dispenser? Thanks.

The redesigned stainless steel hot water tank (HWT-F1000S), which includes the new water filtration system (F-1000S), will feature a new high-end appearance. It is re-engineered for longer life and improved performance with a 2/3-gallon capacity tank, tool-free connections to ease installation, and dry-start protection for peace of mind. This tank provides up to 60 cups of near-boiling, filtered water per hour.

Is the expansion chamber still plastic?

I currently own a model SST-FLTR dispenser that has developed a leak. Although that model features a stainless steel main tank, the expansion chamber is plastic and is connected to the main tank by a piece of plastic tubing. As I'm sure you are aware, the plastic becomes brittle with age and exposure to heat, and it eventually cracks. In my case, the coupling on the expansion snapped off. In another example that is posted on YouTube, the tubing itself split.

With this background, my question is: has this problem been addressed by the redesigned HWT-F1000S? I am tempted to purchase one as a replacement, but I don't want risk the possibility of another leak. Alternatively, does InSinkErator produce a commercial-grade model that does not have plastic components?
Hi ultrakeet,

This is Belle from InSinkErator Customer Service. Our designs necessarily evolve overtime with the intent to constantly improve the customer experience/satisfaction with our products and correct any performance issues they may exist. Just within the last year or so, the SST-FLTR you referred to has been replaced by the HWT-F1000S. The HWT-F1000S has been redesigned for longer life and improved performance, also it includes a new water filtration system (F-1000S). Products necessarily evolve and change to meet our customer’s needs and to stay competitive.

Please send me an email at insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com with your contact information and I’d be happy to answer any other questions you might have on the new product. Thank you.

A convenient alternative to a wall switch, the stylish SinkTop Switch from InSinkErator is air-activated and easily mounts to the sink or counter top. It is also ideal for island installations. The SinkTop Switch is for use with all disposers (must have AC power below sink.)

What is amp rating of the outlet? ie can it handle 10amp?

sink top switch operation

Does the sink top switch need to be held down to operate continuously? Or, do you just press it once and it runs for a set period of time?
Hi mike11111,

I am Belle from InSinkerator Customer Service. The Sink Top Switch button does not need to be held down to operate continuously. You just have to press it once to turn it on, then press it again to turn off.

The Evolution Compact food waste disposer is perfect for small households and houses with restricted cabinet space.

Can we use a silicone adhesive or caulk to install rather than the plumbers putty. Have heard there might be an issue with plumbers putty with a Silgr

I am Belle of InSinkErator Customer Service. We recommend plumber's putty because it is the most commonly used, safest, and least expensive option. The plumber's putty also leaves the cleanest look around the sink flange when installed. As far as silicone goes, it can also crack certain sinks and the sink manufacturer would need to OK its use.
