Can I use reverse osmosis water for cold and hot ?

Can I get polished nickel and can I use reverse osmosis with the heating unit and the faucet?
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. We cannot recommend the use of an RO System with our hot water dispensers for a couple of reasons. First, RO Systems produce very low water flow rates and our hot water dispenser requires a consistent water pressure of 30 PSI. If it goes below 30 PSI, the faucet will drip. Secondly, RO Systems produce highly purified water which makes the water very "aggressive". This is why RO faucets are generally made of plastic. Our dispenser faucets are brass and the water may pick up a metallic taste. Versatile, dual-position stopper lets water and small food particles "in" the disposer, but keeps silverware and other objects "out". The stopper closes tightly for use as a conventional sink stopper. This Polished Stainless Steel stopper will complement most stainless steel sinks.

Does this fit model 77?

Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. The InSinkErator SilverSaver Stopper should fit all InSinkErator household disposers as long as it is using an InSinkErator manufactured sink flange. For more inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

The InSinkErator Badger Series food waste disposers are a reliable and functional choice when affordability is the prime concern. Choose from three models, each with a space-saving compact design.

Trying to decide between the 5xp and the badger 900.

Does the Badger 5XP have Stainless Steel Grind Components?
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. The Badger 5XP has galvanized steel grind components while the Badger 900, a Home Depot exclusive product, has stainless steel grind components and has a trim shell. All other features such as horsepower and warranty length are the same for these two disposers. For more inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

Garbage disposal leaking by power cord

What is the fix?
Hi Tinamik,

Sometimes, when it appears that the disposer is leaking from the bottom, the water is actually leaking from a higher place like the mounting assembly. We need to determine exactly where the leak is coming from by following the steps below.

1. Run the disposer and water for a few seconds as you normally would.

2. Turn off the power to your disposer. If your unit has a plug, unplug it from the outlet. If it is hardwired, shut the power off at the circuit breaker.

3. Take a dry paper towel and wipe along the top mounting area, working your way down the sides of the canister to determine where the water is coming from.

4. Wipe along the dishwasher connection if you have a dishwasher connected to drain through the disposer.

5. Carefully wipe around the discharge drain connection.

6. Check the bottom of the disposer.

If the disposer is leaking behind the trim shell or leaking directly from the bottom, the disposer will need to be replaced. In the meantime, keep it unplugged/disconnected from the power and keep a bucket underneath to catch any water.

Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700.

Sincerely,

Jerica

The Power Cord Kit is easy to install and includes a three-foot UL Listed cord, strain relief clamp, wire connectors and installation instructions. Once installed, disposer plugs directly into a standard wall outlet. This genuine InSinkErator product meets Underwriter Laboratories Inc. SPT-3 category for insulation thickness and moisture resistance.

Quick lock won't lock in place over the ridge.

Seems to compress the rubber gasket too much and won't turn all the way to lock in place. Any suggestions?
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. You may refer to our video on how to install a new household disposer. This will show the proper position of the lower mounting ring and mounting gasket while hanging the disposer to the mounting assembly. I have included a link below for your reference. Replacement sink baffle for all InSinkErator Evolution Series disposers. The Quiet Collar Sink Baffle helps reduce disposer noise, prevents food and water from splashing upward and is removable for easy cleaning. The antimicrobial feature of the baffle helps to inhibit growth of odor-causing bacteria. Not for use with Badger disposers.

Does this fit S/N 09031532397?

Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. Yes, the Quiet Collar Sink Baffle is the correct replacement accessory for an Evolution Essential disposer. This baffle is designed to be used with all InSinkErator continuous feed type Evolution disposers. For more inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

Welcome to the heart of your instant hot water system. Although the tank lies hidden below your sink, its contributions to instant convenience can't be overlooked. The InSinkErator® instant hot water tank always has near-boiling water ready when you need it.

Can the water temperature be adjusted to dispense at around 180 instead of 210?

Water that dispenses too hot is potentially dangerous for our crews. I see that the tank keeps the water hot and can dispense on demand at 210, but just wanted to make sure it can be adjusted down before I buy.

Thank you!

Also, FYI, in the C-Form below I HAD to paste in a video in order to submit the form. So it's just a rando. Pay it no mind. :)

Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. The HWT-HP model has an adjustable thermostat of 190°F to 210°F. This hot water dispenser is designed for residential use and not recommended to be installed in a commercial setting. If you need a hot water dispenser for a commercial setup, you may check our model C1300. The C1300 is designed for large volume usage of steaming hot water which is adjustable from 160°F to 210°F. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.
