Hi Mfuge, thanks for reaching out. The model 5-75 is a Badger 5, which we still make. When replacing an older Badger disposer like the 5-75 that has a threaded connection to the discharge opening with a current Badger disposer that has a 2-bolt connection to the discharge opening, check to see if you are using a 90-degree elbow pipe to connect to your plumbing or a straight pipe with a flared edge.
If using a 90-degree elbow pipe, the tailpipe provided with any new Badger disposer should line up with your current plumbing configuration without modification.
If you are using a straight pipe with a flared edge, then you will need a straight pipe with a flared edge that is 5/8 inch longer. If you have other questions, please reach out to us via
