Replacement SinkTop Switch push button. To change button color, pop the old decorative ring off the push button body, replace with the new push button, and push the sides of the new decorative ring until it locks with the push button body.
What size hole is required for installation through granite??

How does the auto reverse feature
Hi AMoe,
This is Jim with InSinkErator. The Excel unit comes with a Anti-Jam Circuit. The unit uses a microprocessor circuit to change the direction of rotation of the unit. The disposer will not necessarily start up in the opposite director of rotation each time the power to the unit is turned on. It will start up in a RANDOM direction each time the the unit is powered on.....i.e there is always a 50% chance it will start up in the Clock Wise direction, and 50% chance it will start up in the Counter Clock Wise direction. The unit continuously monitors for a jam whenever power to the unit is on. If a Jam occurs, the motor is reversed from the direction it had been rotating when the jam occurred. The motor is rapidly pulsed on/off (60 times per second) for a brief period of time to try and clear the Jam. This process will repeat itself up to 8 times. If the jam in not cleared, the reset will trip to avoid damaging the motor.

Our continuous feed disposers can be activated by means of a wall switch (the unit must be hard wired to the switch or plugged into an electrical outlet controlled by the switch.) Or you can use the Sink Top Switch. There are no other option offered by InSinkErator for our continuous feed disposers. We also have our Batch Feed Cover Control Disposer that is activated by the stopper. You place the stopper in the drain and turn to activate the disposer. The disposer needs to be hard wired or plugged into a continuous electrical supply. I hope I have been able to answer your questions today. This is Jim with InSinkErator. The flange is 2-1/2 inches deep and is used for sinks that are over 3/4 inch thick up to 1-3/4 inches thick. Yes, you do use the Quck Lock Mount on the bottom of the flange just as you would on the standard flange. Installation for the extended flange is really no different than installing the standard flange and there are no specific instructions for the use of the extended flange. Based on the information you provided, you would need the Mounting Gasket Kit (the baffle on your unit is built into the mounting gasket.) I have included below the link to that kit.

We base the warranty on a purchase or installation receipt. If a receipt is unavailable, we base the warranty on the serial number of the unit. Weight limit for sink?
Are there any potential issues with the 25 pounds of weight hanging off of a sink? We have a Kohler stainless steel sink (new) and I don't want the disposal's weight to break it....

If I were to Leave the unit off, once I turn it on (rarely used outdoor Bathroom);
1) How many degrees/minute does it take to heat to 200 degrees?,
2) If outside temp. is 90 degrees, how long will it take the tank to heat to 200 degrees?,
3) If outside temp. is 72 degrees, , how long will it take the tank to heat to 200 degrees.?,
4) If Outside temp. is 45 degrees , how long will it take the tank to heat to 200 degrees?

This is Jim with InSinkErator. It really depends on ambient room temperature and the temperature of the incoming water supply, but under normal conditions It takes approx. 15 to 20 min for the Hot Water Dispenser to begin dispensing near boiling water.
Unfortunately, I do not have the information you are requesting concerning the temperature ranges you listed. The unit is designed to be used in a home environment and the results are based on average room and incoming water supply temperatures. Thank you for your question.
