I had one of these years ago and after it went bad I purchased one from another manufacturer. It lasted about one year. Went back to Insinkerator.
Solid unit and east to install. Work just fine. Having previous connections made installing a breeze.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Will the faucet stay turned on if I let go of it such as when fillingl a large pot?

I read a review on Home Depot website that said the knob is very difficult to turn. Is this generally much of an issue ?
You have to hold the knob to continue filling. No real problem using this handle.
