Prosrelatively quiet, easily removable baffle
This disposal replaces the Insinkerator Badger 900 that I was totally disappointed in. The Evolution Compact has a removable baffle (the black rubber part that keeps the food from splattering out of the disposal) for easy cleaning. I am hopeful that being able to remove and clean the underside of the baffle will eliminate the odor issues I had with the Badger 900. I know it will be much safer to clean as I will no longer need to stick my hand in the disposal to clean it.

Prosquiet, removable baffle easy and safe to clean, easy installation

This 3/4 hp InSinkErator Evolution Compact replaced my 3 year old 3/4 hp InSinkErator Badger 900 that was a major disappointment and impossible to safely clean.
The Evolution is much quieter than the Badger, and its baffle is easy to remove and clean. The installation was easy, requiring no plumbing changes which really pleased my husband. He installed it only two days ago, so time will only tell if it performs as well as advertised.
Yes, I recommend this product.

When during the installation does the sink baffle get installed?
The baffle is removable. My husband removed it during installation and inserted it after he was done installing the disposal. I really like being able to remove the baffle so easily to clean it.

Is this product only able to be used with use of a power cord connected to an under the sink outlet?
I do not have an outlet beneath my sink now and my current disposer doesn't have a power cord so is this model able to be used without a power cord?
If your prior disposal was hard wired - you can remove the power cord and hard wire it. You may want to hire an electrician to do this for you.
