Billagain's Questions

The redesigned stainless steel hot water tank (HWT-F1000S), which includes the new water filtration system (F-1000S), will feature a new high-end appearance. It is re-engineered for longer life and improved performance with a 2/3-gallon capacity tank, tool-free connections to ease installation, and dry-start protection for peace of mind. This tank provides up to 60 cups of near-boiling, filtered water per hour.

Is the HTW-F1000S a direct replacement for my old model HC1100BLK-2?

I am wanting to replace my old hot water heater. Will this model work with my existing faucet? The HTW-F1000S manual says Snap-connect fitting not included. Required when replacing tank manufactured prior to January 2006. Call the AnswerLine® 1-800-558-5700 to order.

My unit came with my house and looks like it is probably older than 2006. Do I need the fitting? How much does it cost? How long does it take to get?

Also, since i still have several unused F-601 cartridges i assume i can continue to leave my old filter system hooked up until i use them up. Is that right?
