We purchased a Badger 5XP in 2011 to replace a Badger installed by the builder in 2002. That one was difficult to install and this one was not any easier. Biggest issue is trying to hold something into place while fastening it in from an awkward position. All garbage disposals should come with a small jack to hold it in place but have not found that a single one does. This one is quieter than the previous one; both grind up the waste the same way.

it will likely fit but you will get "crummy" droppings from the old plumbers putty. It is not that hard to remove the old mounting bracket and clean out the crud around the sink hole. ~$3 for the plumber's putty and well worth the extra effort.
