Can I use one electric outlet for both my dishwasher & sat-filter? If so what size circuit breaker do I need?

I am about to purchase incinerator instant hot. My electrician wants to know if it can use the same outlet as my new dishwasher.
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. It is highly recommended that the Hot Water Dispenser be plugged to a dedicated outlet which has a 15-20 amp circuit breaker. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

The Evolution Septic Assist food waste disposer is specifically designed for homes with septic systems.

Do common laundry and dish detergents and Clorox kill the micro organisms in the bio charge?

Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. When the Bio-Charge injects microorganisms during the use of the household disposer, it is normal for the Bio-Charge microorganisms to be exposed to external fluids such as dish detergents and the like. These types of exposure will not kill or affect the purpose of the Bio-Charge fluid. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

The Evolution Excel food waste disposer is for those who enjoy the very best kitchen appliances. The ultimate in performance - nothing grinds more with less noise.

connection to 220v

the prudact have switch on the garbage disposal or the need to buy a transformer to convert him from 110v to 220v ?
Hi yoel,

If one uses 220 volt for a disposer designed for use on a 120 volt electrical source one would cause the disposer to ‘burn’ out. If one has 220 volt electrical source, one must use a disposer designed for this 220 volt source. Also we do not recommend the use of any transformers as this as well may cause the disposer to not operate correctly and will shorten the life of the disposer.

Kindly send me an email through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com with your complete contact information and where you are planning to install your disposer so that we can check where you can purchase a unit designed for your location.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jerica

This InSinkErator Instant Hot Water Dispenser system, which includes a Hot1 model dispenser and 1/3 gallon copper tank, provides 190°F near-boiling water for a variety of uses. Designed with convenience in mind, the Hot1 features a simple, low profile design with an easy-to-use handle. Enjoy hot water right when you need it - now.

can i use a different dispenser faucet with the Hot1?

i would like to use the Indulge trim faucet will that work?
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. The Hot-1 model is designed to be installed and only used with the faucet assembly that originally comes in its own packaging. If you want to use an Indulge Faucet Assembly, you would then have to use our HWT-F1000S hot water tank and filtration system. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

Washing hands

Can I turn temp down to 110F? It takes 3 minutes to get hot water at our kitchen sink to wash hands. We would like to use hot water dispenser to wash hands, etc. Is this possible? Millions of households would benefit from this if we could turn down the temperature for washing hands...
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. The Hot-1 hot water dispenser can be adjusted from 160 degrees to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Unlike Ultrawarm faucets, hot water from this Hot-1 unit cannot be mixed with cold water, thus, making this unsuitable for washing hands. Our hot water dispensers are designed and suitable only for drinking water. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

The InSinkErator Badger Series food waste disposers are a reliable and functional choice when affordability is the prime concern. Choose from three models, each with a space-saving compact design.

What is the difference between the Badger 5 and the Badger 500

Hi contractor,

Happy New Year!

The models Badger 5 and Badger 500 both have ½ horsepower and 2-year in-home warranty coverage. Badger 5 can be purchased through most home improvement centers, plumbing supply houses and online stores. Badger 500 is an exclusive model manufactured for Home Depot. If you are currently using a Badger 5 disposer, you may want to send us the serial number of your unit so that we can check if there would be a difference on the plumbing hook up of your Badger 5 and a Badger 500 model. You may reach us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jerica

Replace Badger 1 (1-83) with Evolution Septic Series

Hi, I have a model 1-83 (I assume this is what is known as a badger 1). I would like to replace it with your evolution series but I don't want to hassle with any plumbing issues. Is the discharge port in the same location or would this require a plumbing modification?

Thank you!

Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. Badger 1 and Evolution Septic Assist have different plumbing requirements. All Badger models have the same plumbing requirements and the closest Evolution model in terms of the plumbing hook up to a Badger disposer would be the Evolution Compact model. You may refer to the specification sheets available online through http://www.insinkerator.com/en-us/P... for accurate details regarding the dimensions of each InSinkErator disposer. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

The Evolution Compact food waste disposer is perfect for small households and houses with restricted cabinet space.

When during installation is the sink baffle attached?

Hi CandyLand,

This is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. If you are installing a continuous-feed type Evolution Compact disposer, placing of the Quiet Collar Sink Baffle comes at the last part. Once you are done with the installation of the disposer, you may then insert the Quiet Collar Sink Baffle into sink opening. I have included the link below for the Installation, Care and Use Manual of your disposer. You may refer to Step 26 of the said literature. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emeson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.
