The InSinkErator F-201R Replacement Filter is the only water filter specifically designed for instant hot and hot/cool water dispensers. When paired with the InSinkErator Stainless Steel Tank, our carbon filters provide fresh-tasting water by reducing chlorine taste and odor. The F-201R filter can also be adapted to any refrigerator, icemaker or virtually any drinking water system.
Polyethylene tube from filter to HW dispenser has turned brown.
In the process of replacing my F-201R filter, I noticed that the polyethylene tube from the filter to the SST-FLTR HW dispenser has turned very brown. (It looks pretty gross. and I'm not sure I even want to think about what made the hose turn brown!) I was told by someone on the "Answer Line" that Insinkerator no longer carries these parts and that I could order a new installation kit from the parts supplier (at a significant cost) or I would need to order a new filter system (also at a very significant cost). Neither of these options seems reasonable to me. Would it be possible for me to simply purchase a new piece of 3/8" polyethylene tube from a plumbing supplier and re-use the quick-connect fittings that are already in place? Thanks for any help you can give me.

The InSinkErator Mounting Gasket Kit includes two replacement sink gaskets to be used in conjunction with specific InSinkErator disposer models. Refer to the included installation instructions for quick and easy gasket replacement. Not for use with Evolution Series and E606 disposers.

The Mounting Gasket Kit includes one standard and one deluxe mounting gasket. These gaskets are properly labeled. To ensure proper installation, please make sure to use the appropriate gasket for your disposer. I have included links below for your reference. Also, please be reminded that the disposer should be uninstalled when replacing its mounting gasket.

power cord
I bought an insinkerator but there is no power cord. Are there any that have a power cord that is already connected to the disposal so it can just be plugged in?

Many retailers choose to carry the un-corded units with a separate power cord kit in order to accommodate as many people as possible. Will this garbage disposal fit with an ADA-accessible sink?
I have a kitchen sink that has a slanted wood front piece (rather than a straight cabinet) for wheelchair accessibility. Will this garbage disposal be small enough to fit within the space behind that slanted wood piece?

How many amps does the unit draw when switch is turned on?
I have the disposer plugged into an outlet that is protected by a GFCI. When I turn the switch on for the disposer the GFCI trips. I'm wondering if the disposer pulls to many amps for my GFCI.
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. We recommend that disposers, whether wired directly or plugged in, be connected to a 15 to 20 amp. circuit. Household disposers have a spike immediately upon start up for less than a second. Due to this spike, a 15 to 20 amp. circuit is required and meets requirements for this brief load. I just replaced my water filter and found that the inlet and outlet lines on the filter head were reversed when installed. Will the filter function properly or do I need to get a new filter head and re-install?

Replacing unit with same unit and can not remove snap-connect. How do I take it off old unit?
